Originally from Christchurch, where I was born and breed, I made the move up to Auckland in February 2019.

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2013 from Christchurch Polytech, I have followed my interest in interiors and worked as a Kitchen Designer for almost 10 years although my first job was as an Architectural Technician, working closely with an architect. After building my technical skills, I took a calculated career risk by moving into the kitchen industry, and I’ve never looked back. I have had the privilege of working in various roles in several businesses throughout the years, creating amazing spaces for many happy clients.

After developing a lot of experience in interior joinery, it was time to expand and use these hard-earned skills. Around 2017 I purchased my first home and was heavily involved in reconfiguring and personalising the design and interior fitout of some of the rooms/spaces. It was during this experience that I realised the importance of shaping spaces to the tastes and aesthetic of the homeowner.  I discovered renovation work is where my passion and enjoyment lie. For these reasons, I decided it was time to head back into the building world and start learning more as well as using my skills I have gained over the years.  In 2019, after selling my home, I made the relocation to Auckland for alternative work opportunities.

I started working for Jim and Del Gleeson at KKG Limited (trading as Refresh Renovations) in February 2023 as a Renovation Consultant. I’m enjoying the challenge of learning more about renovations, drawing on my skills to deliver projects in the end-to-end process offered by Refresh and leveraging the extensive knowledge I have from my design and architectural background.

In my spare time you will find me down at the beach and in the water in the summer months or spending quality time with my close loved ones. I also like to go for long walks, which allows me to discover so many amazing places, especially since I’ve moved to Auckland, helping me to familiarise myself with the city. I love the outdoors and being social, always willing, and keen to try something new.

I love meeting new people, forming new relationships and getting involved in different things. One thing that I believe, is there’s always room for growth and learning! Becoming a Renovation Consultant means not every day is the same and keeps you on your toes. That is one of the benefits of this role alongside getting to work closely with your clients and getting to see that smile as the end result!
